| e zra sighed and checked her watch. not that it would do any good, time was different on this world. she knew she was going to be dropped off on a foreign planet, but she didn't know it was going to be so damn desolate. gazing at her surroudings, there was nothing but scorched earth and her destination for north. there were others than came with her, of course. most had grouped up and traveled together to mt intego. by the looks of some of them, they wouldn't all get there. earth life catered to the rich and lazy. this planet.. made you fight for life. ezra stood out like a sore thumb and she knew it. when the shuttle left, she felt a slight disquiet. alone on a completely new freaking planet? didn't seem real. she knew she had to get to safety before she got burned to a crisp. she didn't fancy crisps. ezra still took her sweet time, savoring the loneliness. the dark was comforting in a way. she took a long chug out of her canteen and coughed slightly. it will filled to the brim with rum. rum rhymes with numb so its perfect. ezra bent down and ran her hand over the dirt. "they weren't kidding" she chuckled, pinching at a piece of singed grass until it crumbled into dust. she took a couple more swigs, and continued drunkenly to mt intego. her grogginess only subsided when she felt a shift in temperature. "shit!" she swore, not realizing how long she had haphazardly meandered around. ezra's destination was about a mile off, and she was already breaking a sweat. she broke out into a run, and cast a glance behind her. slowly - light creeped from the horizon. ezra growled, pushing herself faster. her side was cramped up completely when she finally reached the shade. people were shuffling around, fanning themselves, setting up camps, cooking food, the normal post apocalyptic type of thing. ezra snorted, wondering how humanity got to this point. she took drank the last of her rum, thankful for something to wet her throat in the nearly unbearable heat. ezra shook her hand through her hair, flinging beads of sweat in every direction. she made her way through the crowd to find somewhere she could get some rest. ezra's eye was caught by long raven hair, on a girl sitting on a jutted rock. her eyebrow arched as she felt a growing interest in the woman who exuded sexual prowess and dominance. ezra hoped she didnt see her high tail it away from the sunrise. she adjusted the collar of her leather jacket, and approached farrah. "you just get here too? who's supposed to be in charge here?" she asked, leaning on a nearby tree trunk for support. insects chirped in the distance. |

they call me a menace they say that i'm cursed he'd been getting a little more daring with how long she stayed outside, mostly because it was hell being cramped up in her tiny abode for fourty-eight hours and she wanted to escape it for as long as humanly possible. That, and forcing herself awake for nearly the entire twenty-four hours of night let her zonk out for a good bit of the day. She'd still wake up feeling the suffocating heat now and then, but her body had become surprisingly acclimated and for the most part she slept soundly. It would be important to un-train herself to ignore the bumps and screeches of the day (those damn Vespers circled way too often for her liking); it would be dangerous for her to sleep through someone - or some thing - nearing her campsite when this dreadful season came to an end. Sitting on a rock just outside her own personal little cave (really it was just a sheet of rock that had dislodged from the mountain and broke on contact with the ground) slightly southeast of the main gathering, Farrah was holding her knife in her left hand and sharpening it with the rock she held in her right. Her left arm was still in a sling, but she'd been pushing its limits lately. She'd broken it almost two months ago now, and was getting annoyed with the way her musculature was changing from disuse. Granted, she also wanted the arm to be functional at the end of all this, which was the only reason she still (mostly) respected the sling. A figure was moving in her peripheral vision, but Farrah was used to seeing colonists going to and fro and preferred making as little eye contact as possible. Otherwise they'd ask why she wasn't with everyone else, or scold her for "wasting" herself by living on her own. Her reply was usually something synonymous to a spitting hiss. After so many of those encounters, they'd mostly left her alone. But apparently this one hadn't gotten the memo. Stopping mid-swipe, green eyes flicked to the intruder. She was leaning on the target Farrah used to keep her throwing skills sharp, and looked way too comfortable for squaring up with someone holding a knife, which just made Farrah think of Logan. He'd learned smugness got him nowhere with her; hopefully this chick wasn't quite as a long a study. "No," he replied bluntly, keeping her expression blank aside from a quick creasing of her brow. "And I am," she finished, voice flat as she finished the stone's stroke across her blade. Leaning forward to rest her elbow on her thigh and let her instruments dangle between her legs, Farrah indicated the larger caves with a flick of her chin. "Run along to your colony, honey. There's nothing for you here." She could have been nicer, but that wasn't on her agenda for today. [googlefont=Bungee Outline]

| e zra shrugged off her jacket. why the hell was she even wearing it anyway? she hung it over a branch and adjusted her top, undoing the first three buttons. being in the shade still felt like being in the tropics during summertime. she wiped the sweat from the back of her neck, scowling. "ugh, its hot as hell." ezra scoffed to herself, yeah it was pretty much hell here. she studied the girl. she had casual body language but that didn't mean she wasn't threatening. ezra licked her lips hungrily. ah yes, a challenge. she immediately gave her a smug look. "i dont know girl, but by the looks of your sling, i'd guess you took a beating in an arm wrestle.. might wanna be careful who you mouth off to, huh?" she teased, winking then carefully skirting to farrah's side to avoid being her next target practice. if there's one thing she learned, it's be wary of your adversary - ESPECIALLY when they are holding a sharp ass knife. ezra eyed the jutted rocks farrah was sitting on, looking for a pathway up. she used a large boulder to propel herself to the edge of an overhang, yanking herself up in one swift motion. the overhang was adjacent to farrah's but about 3 feet to the left. she was sure 3 feet was enough space between them - god forbid they get in eachother's personal space, eh? ezra inhaled deeply as a hot wind blew from the south. she removed her canteen from her shoulder, licking the last few drops of rum from the rim. probably the last taste of rum she'd ever get. how sad. "maybe if you weren't a cripple, you would have already taken this place over," ezra tested the waters, eager to see some waves. "but maybe thats a good thing. you're like me, you're different. you see between the lines and people cant handle that." they had barely conversed, but vibes are vibes, you can tell a person apart within minutes. she also figured if she wanted to make it to tomorrow with the least amount of stab wounds, sweeten it up a little bit. then again, it might make farrah even more heated. ezra licked her hand and slicked her hair back. "so what do the locals call you?" she questioned, leaning back onto the slanted rocks behind her. she could definitely get used to this. |

they call me a menace they say that i'm cursed he chick started getting comfortable, which Farrah raised a brow at. That was question enough, and needed no words to back it up. At the attempted casual threat, Farrah actually barked out a chuckle. "Oh, sweetie, your green is showing," she warned, smirking. "Careful thinking humans are your biggest problem here. Makes you an easy target," she advised, leaning back. Why she actually offered true advice was beyond her; maybe the girl made her think of herself, back when she let her ego rule her. A casual glance was all she gave to the parkour adventure the chick next took, smirking to herself and shaking her head. Farrah could tell she made an effort to put distance between them, but it wasn't quite far enough. She bristled, but wasn't about to move to correct the problem, so she dealt with it instead. The wind blew the scent of alcohol off her canteen, and she snorted - not because she wanted to make fun of the girl, but because that was one hundred percent something she would have done, had her knife and pistol not been higher priorities. Once again, Farrah raised a brow, gracing the girl with her full attention. If she was trying to suck up, it was working. "I have no interest in surrounding myself with those people," she divulged, even though what she really meant was any people. No thanks, she was good on her own. Rex had ensured that. "A menace, mostly," she answered, sliding her knife into its scabbard, which was now located at the outside of her right ankle instead of the inside of her left arm (because broken). She couldn't wait to move it back - she hated the cliché, hated the time she lost bending to grab it. "What do you call yourself, since you're too new here to have a reputation?" The bite had her smiling smugly, just a little. | ✉ | thanks for your patience <3 |

| e zra laughed bitterly, casting her a sideways glance, then taking a moment to survey her surroundings. burned, dead landscape as far as the eye could see, and terrified people attempting to keep their species alive. "humans are the biggest problem we have, honestly... we wouldn't be on this damn planet if they weren't," she took a moment to reflect on her life back on earth, but then quickly snapped out of it. dwelling on a dead past would serve no good here. "there's nothing worth being scared of here. also if you see green in me, you must be checking me out, right?" ezra gave her the signature eyebrow wiggle, gets them everytime! ezra was actually a little thrown off at the fact the girl didn't immediately rear up and attack her. she could agree though, not wanting to be surrounded by these people. the camp (or whatever the hell) was chaos. there was no rhyme or reason, and you could almost smell the fear on most of them. ezra sniffed, sure the stench clinging in the air was fear. turns out it was a dead body being brought back - someone succumbed to the scorch. their corpse was completely burned black, and still giving off steam. murmurs rippled through the crowd of people as they toted it past them. "a menace huh? man, not sure why'd they would ever think that," ezra replied sarcastically. "i'd pin you misunderstood before menace... misunderstood with a big knife," she added carefully, eyeing Farrah as she sheathed her weapon. yeah she was kinda rough around the edges and had an intense gaze that ezra might even crumble under, but in this hell-hole only the strong and resourceful survived. not like crispy over there. and ezra was sure she'd need allies, especially if she wanted to turn this god forsaken mountain into paradise. "what do i call myself? a troublemaker, usually," she winked, "and it's good i don't have a rep yet, people won't know what to expect from me. i'm already winning," ezra laughed lightheartedly, adjusting her top. even with the buttons undone, the cloth stuck to her like a wet rag in the constant heat. already, ezra could feel her body getting dehydrated. "so, what's all out there?" she waved her hand towards the plains in the distance. hunger gnawed at her belly, so she knew soon she would have to kill and cook something. |

they call me a menace they say that i'm cursed he snorted as her unwelcome guest continued to show her naivety. Farrah didn't waste her breath telling her how completely incorrect she was, because letting her get eaten would be kind of amusing. Sinister... but amusing. The next comment had Farrah's face wiping of anything but thinly veiled disgust. Yeah, she could get eaten. Pleeease get eaten. Both their eyes caught on the barbecued once-person, and then Farrah's slid to the horizon. Sol was just about to break, which meant she needed to get back inside. Gaze shifting to the girl, she wondered what the likelihood of her fucking off was. Probably not very great. Sighing heavily, she extended and flexed the fingers of her left arm. She tried to do it at least a few times per day, so not all the muscles would completely atrophy... And it had become an annoyed tick. Thankfully Chatty Cathy over here wouldn't know that yet.. Though the sigh was probably indication enough. Oops.Brows raised, she met said annoyance's gaze. Misunderstood? What was this chick, some kind of therapist? Pyschoanalyzing the brunette was one sure-fire way to instantaneously get on her bad side; she'd been forced into sessions when she was in juvie, and loathed every second. Having an outside party pry into her brain was beyond unnerving, especially when they'd been right. But Farrah didn't want to understand her anger, she just wanted to be angry. Coming to terms with that meant losing her edge, and she wasn't prepared to give that up. Thankfully, Rex had made damn certain that she was set for life. Lost in her own mind, she mostly ignored the self-titled troublemaker until there was a break in the noise, indicating she was either waiting for a response or was just.. done being annoying. Highly doubting the latter, Farrah focused just in time to see Troublemaker's arm sweeping to the vast expanse of PE. Nostril flaring and jaw clenching fractionally, Farrah shook her head. "What fun is it if I just tell you?" she asked sarcastically, starting to rise. "That's for me to know and you to find out, sweetcheeks," she finished, and jumped down from her perch and crossed the short distance to her semi-cave, hoping she'd leave the girl behind. Her little house was only big enough for one person to stand, though two could technically sit semi-comfortably. To discourage that, Farrah sat in the dead center of the tiny space, which would mean that Trouble would need to displace her to sit down. | ✉ | you're welcome to have her follow, farrah just hopes she won't xP |

| e zra studied the girls reactions. disgust, loathing, sarcasm, eye rolling, sneers.. she was just a damn ball of sunshine! she had nothing on sol, though. a lifetime ago, it might have angered ezra, they way she acted. but being on a new planet meant starting from scratch, right? she forced her expression to remain neutral and calm. poker face, if you will. she could feel small flares in her stomach, reactions just waiting to happen. it was a good thing little-sol ditched her. however, sweetcheeks? ezra bit her lip, these cheeks were not sweet. at least, not the ones on her face. she chuckled to herself, eyeing menace as she walked off. ezra decided, just then, it was a personal goal to annoy the shit out of her. what's the worst that could happen? dying, idiot! she shook her head, and hopped down from the rocky perch. she took a minute or so, hoping that menace would adjust in her own space until she came and ruined it. she veered around a rock and positioned herself at the entrance of the small cave. ezra studied it. small yes, comfortable probably not, safe who knows? "oh what, you thought that was it?" she joked, letting herself in. yeah that will piss her off, better play safe.. ish she made sure to enter on the left, where the girls bad hand was. ezra was almost sure that would discourage her from lashing out. almost. little-sol was about as unpredictable as they got. which was saying something, considering ezra was a stick of dynamite ready to go off. she smirked, noticing that she perfectly positioned herself to leave the least amount of space as possible. "oh, you're a prettier up close," she took a deep breath, then continued "but smell like hell, sol really took a toll on you, eh?" ezra squeezed in, but refused to touch her. if there was one thing she learned from life - never make physical contact with someone if you don't ask. they were however, deeply in each others personal space. what happened to play safe? she was uncomfortable at best, half on a vertical wall and half on the ground, snaked around menance. she flicked a pebble at her. "you're so tense, i feel like you need a drink. any medics around here we can get some vodka from?" ezra offered, arching her eyebrow. |

they call me a menace they say that i'm cursed here were a few beats of blessed alone time, in which Farrah leaned her head back, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath through her nose. This was her forte - solitude - and if she could never give it up again that would be greeeaat. Of course, this planet never had that in the cards for her (who was she kidding, neither had Earth): Troublemaker made her presence very much known not fifteen seconds later, and Farrah's eyes popped open with a grunt. She said nothing, the fire in her gaze obvious enough, tracking the other woman when she entered her sanctuary. Her expression didn't change with the compliment-turned-insult, her features a mixture of annoyance and boredom... until she crammed herself into the tiny space beside her. Farrah's head pulled back, a heavy frown tilting her lips. Instinct topped with a legitimate urge to stab the girl, her hand went to rest on the hilt of her knife. She didn't grip it, yet, but would have it at the girl's throat in a flash if she got even a hair closer. Try me, bitch. And oh, she did. Was she stretching out in Farrah's meek but nevertheless legit home? What in the sweet.... Clenching her jaw, she leaned forward to semi hover over the woman. "There's a cave just up the mountain from here. Nice n' big, smooth walls, and as I hear it, recently abandoned. Why don't you make yourself at home there, instead of somewhere you are unwelcome?" she asked, making a point of hiding her smirk as she leaned back. It was a Worm cave, which she'd discovered thanks to Logan, and was also the reason her arm was broken. Trouble would fit in well there, she'd bet. Thinking of the nearing daylight, Farrah's eyes flicked to her little cave's mouth. She had very little time to get mini-bitch out of here, before kicking her out was a death sentence. "Best scurry along, girl. Sol's almost up, and I'm tired." Running her hand along her scabbard, she pointed out, with a smile like acid, "And nothing else lives in here while I'm unconscious." | ✉ | lovely individual, isn't she? |

| e zra met menance's fiery gaze with a smug one of her own. her eyes flickered slightly when her hand went to the hilt of her knife. she didn't grasp it yet - but that didn't mean she wasn't planning to. ezra shifted, hanging her arm over her chest. have to protect the goods, ya know? "do you want to stab ALL of your house guests? at least give me a house tour, damn!" she propped her elbow on the ground, resting her head sleepily in the palm of her hand. "oh, but why would i leave? we're already such good friends. god forbid if things were to get...physical" ezra replied coyly, feigning a yawn. she must have had a death wish, because she proceeded to take her shoes off. what was that saying? don't make too many waves because then you'll capsize and drown? "i'll be damned if im gonna die to the scorch on my first day," she added, gnawing at the inside of her cheek. just her luck - meeting the most stubborn assed person on the entire planet other than herself. "correct me if im wrong, but i'm going to take the rugged rough exterior as a cover for a sweet harmless and caring interior?" she continued - probably in the wrong direction but why stop now? |

they call me a menace they say that i'm cursed Guest implies you were invited," she responded icily. "You were not." One brow shifted ever so slightly upward as the girl continued to get comfortable, though. What was with people on this planet thinking that wherever they walked, they owned? Farrah wasn't one to bring down a death sentence, but if this chick didn't get the fuck out in the next ten minutes, she would break her clean streak. Clutching her knife, she yanked it from its sheath and pointed out the tiny "cave". "That's mine, and that's mine, and alllll of this right here... is mine." she explained, the last area ending right over where the girl was laying. Expression flattening as the girl insisted on being even more annoying than she already was, Farrah asked, eyes narrowed, "You don't happen to have a brother named Logan, do you?" Her tone made it evident she did not consider this a "plus". The shoes coming off was the last straw. While Ms. Deathwish was asking her (very stupid) question, Farrah replaced her blade in its scabbard... So her hand would be free and she could quickly tip forward, grab the girl's shoes, and chuck them out of the cave, into the near-dawn. "Go back to the colony where you belong, little girl," she snapped, using the two words Logan had pissed her off the most with. She was exhausted, and wanted to sleep peacefully, without a perfect stranger shuffling through her things. She'd be damned if she was going to be robbed. [googlefont=Bungee Outline]

| t o be fair, menance had a point. ezra did just totally let herself in and make herself comfortable. she decided that since she ended up getting a reaction, probably time to stop being an asshole. she lifted her hands apologetically, but still wore a slightly amused smirk on her face. "hey you're right, my bad. it's definitely yours. i'm an ass," she admitted. honestly she was surprised she was alive, momentarily stunned when little-sol pointed the knife at her. ezra's eye twitched when she heard the name logan. yeah she did know one, in another life time. she set her jaw and sat upright, forgetting how short the cave was, and bonking her head on the rocky ceiling. "ah shit," she mumbled, rubbing the bump on the top of her head. menace would probably get a kick out of that. she'd nurse her wounded pride later. "i used to actually. damn idiot he was, thought he was god's gift to humanity. he died though, years ago. why do you ask?" she cleared her throat uncomfortably, trying to look anywhere but at the knife happy girl next to her. ezra frowned, considering just running after her shoes and throwing herself into the scorch. nah you'll look like a little bitch, stick around... and quit moping, you realize she called you a little girl? ezra snapped her attention back to little-sol, fighting the glaze that rested over her eyes from being deep in thought. "who are you?" she asked, feeling vulnerable. how is it that they weren't even on a first name basis but ezra already felt picked apart by her? ah fuck it, she didnt need this. her luck running into the next biggest a-hole on the planet. there was more out there anyways. ezra set her jaw, and snaked out to grab her shoes. it's not like she ever had to see this chick again anyways. once freed from the tiny cave prison, she stretched and decided to venture deeper within the mountains. day 1: completed. |
