Help? Help with what? Talwyn watched as the girl lifted her hands towards her, and a thinly shaped brow rose slightly down towards her. Then she realized she’d broken the branch Ezra would hold onto, so she reached down and grabbed the girls hands. Her grip was firm, hands that should be soft were filled with calluses, and her nails were ridiculously short. Pulling she helped Ezra as best she could onto the more solid structure before righting herself and began climbing the last few feet upwards until the trees broke free into a canopy and
Oh the beautiful landscape! Talwyn’s eyes seemed to sparkle as she looked out at the ground below. Looked out and watched the horizon and suddenly she had the biggest urge to jump. To spread her arms and leap forward into the air until the wind could cast her up and away and she could finally fly
Talwyn glanced quickly to her side where Collie was balancing on a branch way too thing to be stepped on. Wyn scowled ever so slightly at being told that no – she should not jump.. But just in that moment a screech was heard and Talwyn’s head snapped up. The sound was beautiful to her ears. Her heart caught in her throat as she rose upwards as fast as she could. Crouching down on a branch that was thick near the base, and she began to crawl outwards towards where the branches thinned out with a fever.
”Zip!Zip! Oh I was so scared! I was so scared! Thank you so much” She was hollering out as loud as she could before she felt her branch give a bit under her step and then suddenly she was back to where it was safe, stepping backwards quickly just as the hawk soared a circle around their heads, making a yipping noise as if in glee. Talwyn’s sparkling eyes began to water, ever so slightly as she watched him. She hadn’t realized how scared she had been until that moment. Hadn’t been aware how absolutely terrified she was that something had happened to her best friend.
She glanced backwards towards Ezra, emotions always so feverishly splayed across her features - a mixture of beautiful sorrow and twisted exhilaration illuminating everything. ”I was sure the vesper had gotten him. I was so sure. Now we can go! He will lead us back to where we were, he is my eyes. We are no longer lost”
