HISTORY Liana had the misfortune of being born into a rather loveless marriage. Her mother despised her father, informing--- of how horrible he was while trying to shield her from his supposed abuses. Her mother died when -- was fairly young after a long illness. The stories she was told of her father chilled the relationship between them, even if she was not treated nearly as bad as she had been prepared to according to the stories told to her by her mother.
Perhaps their relationship would have mended given time. But, her father joined her mother in death a few years after his wife. Knowing he was dying he had made arrangements for Liana to live with his family, providing enough to care for her until she came of age. The concern of what would happen to her if she became an orphan, as she would upon his death weighed heavy upon him. Later she would hope he knew she wasn't not put out in the street.
The relationship problems stemmed from the fact her father was an artist and often had to travel from him living his wife and children at home, one could hardly bring a family along with him when visiting patrons. Her mother suspected he would often have affairs with who ever might be willing in the house. This of course was not true but for a paranoid woman anything could be construed as an affair if one looked deeply enough.
Liana seemed to inherit her fathers gifts. In her case it appeared in the form of music. Seeing her budding talent as something to encourage her family paid for a tutor to come in and train the girl. She had become a quiet withdrawn child upon the death of her parents she was lucky in so much as music gave her a way to cope and she was young enough to recover from her grief relatively shortly, though she went though phases of melancholy for many years until be truly began to recover as much as some one could who lost both their parents.
As she grew older, she decided there was no reason to remain at home, she loved her family and they loved her. But, she did not wish to place a burdenupon them by remaining at home when she was able to earn her own way, though she does send money back home to them when she is able. She makes enough money from her patrons to allow her to travel when she wishes though she tends not to stay in one place at a time unless there is something to keep her there.
