Jaron "Leo" Namir

PERSONALITY A smiling, jesting, overly self-confident, best-you've-ever-had man overshadows the boy within, begging for attention and approval. Deep, deep down, Jaron is miserable without material things and constant company. On Earth, he filled the voids with illegal substances; but on PE he won't have this option, and will at times be fractious and reactionary until his newly-thawed body stops going through withdrawal. He expects all women to fall for him and objectifies just about everyone he meets, though, if he were being true to himself, he respects them and understands that need to be accepted.
HISTORY Jaron grew up in Israel with the sort of mother that felt a great sense of accomplishment when her child succeeded. Because of her break from social norms, both her and Jaron were somewhat shunned. He was entered into spelling bees, talent competitions, acting tryouts... You name it, she probably put him through it. He was never allowed to celebrate placing anything less than first, and because of this he was perpetually unhappy. He practiced habitually for whatever contest was next, failing more often than not to achieve the gold his mother yearned for. Finally, however, he started to improve in one category: singing.
He finally began to win around age 14, and his mother, realizing this strength, entered him into talent competitions every weekend (or week days - school wasn't as important as winning). Eventually her psychotic perseverance paid off - Jaron was noticed by a talent scout a few days after his 17th birthday. The scout put him through all the right avenues to become a booming success, soon gaining national fame under the name "Leopard" (shortened to just "Leo" by fans), a play on the meaning of his last name. Much to his mother's extreme dismay (to put it lightly), Jaron's 18th birthday present to himself was to sever all ties with her and finally be his own man.
He should have stopped singing; he should have moved away somewhere no one knew his name. But as nurture often overtakes nature, Jaron found himself constantly seeking approval from those around him. He became promiscuous with his fans, reveling in the attention they gave him. With their company, he felt powerful. He continued producing his music, because without it he was nothing and no one. If there was a night he went to bed alone, he coddled himself with drugs until he could finally sleep.
The call to evacuate was, to say the least, a shock to his system. If he was expecting special treatment because he was a star, he was dead wrong. He could only take FIVE things?! And they checked for drugs - so those were out. He didn't have much time to think about it, but at least he had the money to fuel his spur-of-the-moment decisions.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS Devilishly good looks; Leopard tattoo around his left side; voice of an angel (using artist Aquilo as his voice)
