PERSONALITY
Eloise is a perfectionist when it comes to her work. She was like that in school as well, El likes to do her very best. It became more important when when she was doing was building things and laying the foundation or bricks on a house. She is meticulous, and gets very in to what she is doing. El loves her work, and has always loved her work. Though being a stone mason was an unexpected choice, she always knew she had wanted to work with her hands and create something, so masonry was a good choice.
El is kind, and very much like a mother hen. As the only girl with four older brothers, El often found herself helping her mother around the house, even when she was itching to get out. In addition to her work with stone, El is an excellent cook and baker. She learned from her mother. Eloise is not a complainer, she has more of a can-do attitude. She just pushes forward and keeps moving along.
She has an easy laugh, and is a pretty open girl. Eloise probably wants to be your friend and she’s the kind of person who will bring you casseroles if someone has a surgery or a relative dies. She can joke with the best of them, but is rarely cruel - though she can be a little sarcastic. Bright and sunny would be a good way to describe her when she’s meeting new people.
Growing up with four older brothers made Eloise tough though, she can stand up for herself and will - but she’s the kind of person who gives others the benefits of the doubt. She likes to see the good in others, and often gives them to many chances. She believes in looking out for others, and doing what you love.
HISTORY Eloise was born the youngest of 5 children, in Maine to George and Hannah McCamy. Her four older siblings are all boys, and though George would’ve been happy to have a fifth boy, Hannah yelled “about damn time!” when the doctor laid the baby girl on her chest. The McCay house was loud, and rowdy and full of dirt and mud and all the things that come with five children, four of them being boys. Eloise grew up tagging along with her older brothers and though they teased her, the four McCay boys loved El. Her parents also doted on the little girl.
Eloise’s family owned a successful building company, and it was expected that all of the children would go in the the business. In fact, the business which had started out as a stone supply company had been in the family for generations. Eloise went to high school at watched as her brothers slowly took over the business. One of them became the accountant in the business, another dealt with supplies, one when to architectural school and the fourth managed the office.
After graduated from high school, Eloise shocked her whole family by apprenticing as a mason. El explained herself by stating that though she didn’t really fit in to the family building business, it was decently close to construction, right? Regardless, El’s decision allowed the family to expand back in to the stone supply field that they had previously shied away from as there was no skilled mason in the family. Of course, they didn't have long to work on growing that part of the business with everything happening on earth. Eloise is a fixer mason, she specializes in the laying of the stone. Though she can certainly do her fair share of shaping the stone she is much better at the laying and creating part of being a mason.
Elosie has helped to design and build stone cabins for her family’s clients, and she has built a million fireplaces, and walls and other assorted buildings. It was for this reason that when El arrived on PE, she choice to become an architect. Though she is capable of the shaping and rough work required with stone, it is the building and laying she is good at and growing up in a construction family didn’t hurt either.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS She has various smaller scars all over from working with her hands - but she has a huge scar on her left elbow from when she was 7 and fell out of a tree, broke her arm and had to get pins inserted.
